Staff at a filling station along a major road in Ajegunle, Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA, were robbed at gunpoint late Friday night by a group of armed men who arrived on motorcycles. According to eyewitnesses, the men, estimated to be between three and five in number, stormed the facility around 10:45 PM, held staff at gunpoint, and forced the cashier to hand over the day’s cash collection before fleeing into the maze of surrounding streets. No staff members were physically harmed during the robbery, though several employees were said to be in shock. The filling station manager contacted the police immediately after the incident. Officers from the nearest divisional police station arrived at the scene about 30 minutes later and commenced preliminary investigations.
